Eureka - Viola L. Leman, 87, 610 W. Cruger, Eureka, died at 7:35 am on Friday December 16, 2005 at the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka where she was a resident.

She was born on December 24, 1917 in Milford, IN to Ezra and Luella Haab Beer. She married Vernon L. Leman on May 25, 1941 in Milford, IN. He survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Eugene (Carolyn) Leman of Dakota Dunes, SD, Howard "Hap" (Dianne) Leman of Champaign, IL, and Keith (Dort) Leman of Eureka; one daughter in law, Loretta Leman of Webster City, IA; three brothers, Maurice Beer, Carlton "Cap" (Mary Ann ) Beer and Jesse "Bud" (Shirley) Beer all of Milford, IN; two sisters, Kathryn (Harold) Emch of Archibald, OH, and Eunice (Gerarld "Shorty") Fiechter of Bluffton, IN; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Allen Leman, and one brother Howard Beer.

Vi was a homemaker who enjoyed giving of her time baking for others. She was especially known for baking and sharing her springerle.

She was a member of the Eureka Apostolic Christian Church where she was active in world relief sewing.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday December 19, at the Eureka Apostolic Christian Church. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1-5 pm on Sunday at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka and from 9:00 - 9:45 am on Monday at the church. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Roanoke.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka or to Gateway Woods Children's Home in Leo, IN.
