William M. McCombs

Lacon-William M. McCombs, 70, of Lacon passed away at 3:38 p.m.
on Tuesday October 23, 2012 at Heartland Health Care in
Henry.  He was born on June 29, 1942 in Lacon to the late
William E. And Orpha (Bollinger) McCombs.  He married Norma
Holocker on July 20, 1963 in Sparland; she survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Christine (Scott) Laible, of
Henry and Rhonda McCombs McClure, of Mackinaw; four grandchildren,
Alec McClure, Mackenzie McClure, Austin Laible, and Thomas Laible;
one brother, Willard (Geralyn) McCombs, of Dahinda; and two
sisters, Evelyn (Stan) Twitty, of MO, and Carol (Ray) Jones, of
Chananan, IL.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.

Bill was retired from Caterpillar, Inc.  He loved to be
outdoors working in his garden, woodworking, and fishing.  He
was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will
be greatly missed.

Services will be on Saturday October 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at
Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon.

Visitation will be on Friday October 26, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00
p.m., also at Lenz.  Memorials may be made to LS-52.
