PEORIA - Winifred Elizabeth (Seifert) Weber, 97, of Peoria, a woman loved by many, passed away at 3:45 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015 at Unity Point Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
She was born in Normal, IL on Aug. 5, 1918 to Hubert A. and Harmina G. Folkers Seifert. She married Emerson G. Weber on Dec. 10, 1938 in Mendota, IL. He passed away on February 25, 2007. Her parents also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her three sons, Adrian (Debbie) Weber of Phoenix, AZ; Doug Weber of Peoria, IL; Steve (Kimberly) Weber of Chillicothe, IL; four grandchildren, Sean and Eric Weber of Phoenix, AZ and Andrew and Christian Weber of Chillicothe, IL; and five great-grandchildren, Nadia, Maya, Annika, Aidan and Ethan Weber of Phoenix, AZ.
Wini worked in a sewing factory during WWII. She was a seamstress, loved fashion and designing clothes. She also enjoyed animals, music, cooking, gardening, and winning her husband's money at cards.
She worked as a waitress at Murphy's & Vonachen Junction. She played piano for fashion shows and exercise classes at the YWCA.
She was an active member of First English Lutheran Church for over 60 years and was instrumental in the formation of the Lutheran Women of the Greater Peoria Area.
Wini was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who touched many lives during her 97-year journey through life and will be missed by all those who were blessed to know her.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at First English Lutheran Church in Peoria, IL. Pastor Knight Wells will officiate. Visitation will be prior to the services from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial and grave side services will be held at 2:30 pm at Clayton Township Cemetery in Benson, Pastor James LeCrone officiating.
